Santana are advertising again and seem desperate. I think at this moment in time they only have one western teacher left there! So desperate that they are lying about Foreign Expert's Certificates. As an illegal mill, Santana are not authorised a) to issue such certificates or b) to hire western qualified teachers.

You've got as much chance of being given an FEC by Santana as finding that pot of gold at the end of the rainbow!!!

For those interested the current crop of teachers at Fountain are being told that their previous staff were fired because they were "unprofessional" ( drunkenness, poor timekeeping, absenteeism, over familiarity with students etc). This is probably all a pack of lies - but it seems par for the course for mills in Zhuhai where honesty seems very much at a premium.

If you think Sanatana is bad I don't hold much hope for your future in China.

Thanks for your concern Mytime - but being a big boy I can look after myself. My concern simply relates to "Schools" like Santana which are illegal and cheat its staff. Hopefully people can then make informed choices.

Can I point readers to the www.chinajob.com site? This has vacancies from Schools which are officially recognised and approved and which presumably will give teachers a better deal than the rogue outfits in Zhuhai.

the training centers are not very good in zhuhai I worked 1 and 1/2 yeas there at the yung wing school it was a very good school. I met teachers from other schools that were ok with the jobs. The training centers seem to be a dumping ground for the bad kids for baby sitting. But like TPR it is not teaching but playing keeping the people happy and get more money.

When I was teaching at EF Zhuhai in 2003 the place was an absolute joke and the entire Western teaching staff were very unhappy. Most left within months and sometimes weeks of arriving. It might have changed since I was there but I doubt it.

I certainly wouldnt recommend it to anyone.
