Dear doner,
Those "working ladies" aren't the ones sinning (and let's recall Mary Magdalene.)
"In Matthew's account of this story, the woman is not a sinner, and Jesus praises her by predicting that "wherever this gospel is preached in the whole world, what she has done will be told in memory of her"
http://biblebrowser.com/matthew/26-13.htm
It's the MEN, driven by their carnal lusts, that are the sinners. The ladies are just making a living.
Regards,
John |

But in the bible she was doing it out of necessity but in Bahrain they are doing it to make more money than they could at doing another job. |

Dear doner,
I take it, then, that you've conducted interviews in order to obtain this information.
And could you point out to me the passage in the Bible that states Mary Magdalene was plying her trade out of necessity? Isn't it possible that she just loved her work?
Regards,
John |

Dear doner,
Unlike, say, EFLers in the Middle East. But surely they all have the proverbial hearts of gold.

Dear doner,
I'd say that the great majority of ex-pats who go to the Middle East end up getting screwed.
But I take your point, for getting screwed figuratively once or twice cannot compare with getting screwed literally - only Allah knows how many hundreds or thousands of times.
Regards,
John
P.S. Hmm, I'm not entirely sure that I used "getting screwed literally" correctly, but since employing a more appropriate, earthy verb would be frowned upon by the powers-that-be here, I suppose it'll have to do. |

They are working girls just like we are working stiffs. Our take home pay is probably significantly higher. |

Most of them are way past being girls and a lot of their money goes to middlemen and visa costs. |

Teaching English to these skanty clad business ladies at the Tylos Hotel can prove lucrative as most (if not all) deal with "visiting" businessmen from across the causeway in many ways! |
