Ah, "halfman" joins Dave's ESL Cafe on 21st December expressly to complain about ET textbooks. How convenient.

I wonder what halfman's other half is. Laughing

I think quite a few of us ET and ex-ET people that have been quietly reading this post all along have finally been compelled to join just to set the record straight about ET.

Well, if Halfman's posts are truthful and correct, then ET really has made a real stupid mistake. But for a place like that, it really doesn't surprise me. Isn't it funny and sometimes obvious when a "place like that" tries to perpetrate a fraud, as in being a real educational institution, that it really shows it's true colors? Laughing How can teachers use these rags to teach without feeling extreme embarrassment? I feel sorry for the teachers that have to deal with this crap and the students that pay for this crap. But most of us that deal with such unprofessional management, get used to covering their butts only to have ours kicked by them. As I always say, we use this type of trash to teach people how to speak English and usually manage to get through it. Good luck to all of you that are at ET.. I hope it gets better for you.

These pathetic souls who endlessly complain about ET -- doesn't seem that their lives have gotten better as a result of their complaints. They are still whining about their bad choices.

Such people simply can't be trusted to give accurate information or opinions.

Sorry to one and all at Mc school E.T.....

If what Halfman says is true then it is only a matter of time that the big bad wolf will fold and melt away the whicked witch will be dead....

This can't come soon enough for thoses of us that want the sector to shift back to smaller privet centers, where we the staff can reach an agreement on terms and conditions direct with owners themselfs.

Holding your breath, are you? Why don't you provide an alternative yourself?

Oh, now I see why you can't provide an alternative to ET or its textbooks if this is a sample of your own writing skills.

Never mind then.

FYI: Tim and I aren't writing as halfman, though everything halfman wrote is true. It seems Henry_Cowell is someone who already works for ET if he (she) knows who we are, down to our last working day...

We did our best to provide feedback and constructive criticism throughout our time at ET, not on this ESL cafe, but to the so-called 'leaders' of the Taksim branch in hopes of affecting change. Unfortunately, the people who asked for our feedback in the first place felt we couldn't be trusted to give accurate information or opinions???

The unbearable working environment that is ET is not a result of teachers' "bad choices" - unless it counts against them that they believed ET would hold true on its contracts (we don't know anyone who's gotten their bonuses when they gave the requested one-month notice) or that there would be an ounce of respect for the teachers (Turkish and foreign alike).

Many teachers have chosen to leave ET and most of the remaining teachers are patiently counting the days until their contract is up. And it's not just the books. Teachers began leaving in droves as soon as Molly came to the Taksim branch. At least five more left at Christmas and I guarantee more will follow if these disgusting books and Molly remain.

Sounds like the riff-raff, ne'er-do-wells, incompetents, whingers and complainers have left ET and sought continuing misfortune elsewhere.

ET is well rid of them. Pity their next school!!
