I am curious to know how close the two languages are- Bahasa Indonesia and Bahasa Malaysia? Is there good transfer between the two languages? I get the feeling that both languages are about as 'close' as Spanish is to Portuguese.
Do Indonesians who work in Malaysia get by just fine with B.I. or do they have to learn a lot of new vocabulary in Malaysian language?
I looked at a "Learn Malaysian" language book at Singapore Airport, and from what I saw, I would say that around 70% of Bahasa Indonesia is similar or very close to Malaysian, but please correct me if wrong.

Ok Ghost. U think that if it will make you sleep better . Not too bad though as some are almost correct. Sadly one wasn't even translated and another was so far off the mark it's not funny anymore. U work out which is which.

Much closer. They are essentially two varieties of the same language. |

ohahraga diatas kasur - physical activity on the mattress (sounds naughty!)
naik cewe - That's a difficult one. 'Naik' I learned in class means to 'take' or 'use', and 'cewek' means a teenage girl or older. So literally, means ' to acquire a girlfriend' (please correct if wrong on that one!)
mencicipi minuman beralkohol - - not sure what 'mencicipi' means but the rest is easy - to drink alcohol.
asal lucu - Literally means - 'to come from something funny' but not sure about the connection there.
seperti pengumuman ini - not sure about that one
tapi sebenarnaya - not sure about that
mendingan literatur yg menarik dan informatif - I am guessing here, but I think it means to read literature and look for interesting (menarik) information.
Biarin yach, dari pada 'ngak ada - Not sure on that one. I know that 'Biara' means convent or monastery, so I guessed that you meant that you go to a monastery every now and then to redeem yourself and to expunge your sins, but please correct me if wrong on that one.

But there are many differences in the vocabulary.
When I asked people in Indonesia about that, they generally told me that they could understand and be understood at about the 60-70% level, so it does not sound as high as you claim.
I know that Indonesian is taught in (some) Australian schools, but it is very hard to find classes in the language in other developed countries, despite the huge numbers of visitors that Indonesia and Malaysia receives each year. Pity.

Hari rabu ini, saya akan berangkat ke korea, penerbangan/ pesawat jam satu siang. Saya senang tinggal disini, tapi saat ini saya masih ada kerjaan di Korea ( or saya mau pulang ke Korea untuk bekerja ). Di Korea saya bisa dapat gaji lebih besar, ini penting untuk masa depan.
