Dear matthew 156,

"We can do this the easy way or the hard way."

The ONLY "easy way" in the Kingdom is the "wasta way." But beware - wasta received is a debt owed. There's no such thing as "free wasta."

John

Dear matthew156,
And pay no attention to that billboard that says:

"Abandon Hope, All Ye That Enter Here."

It was put up by NCTBA on his way out.

John

They are learning English in order to be competitive in the job market. I am in Riyadh, and it is a booming economic wonder. They have their own style. It will take time to understand how to reach them. They need fresh teaching styles, and can be difficult at times. Keep attention grabbers handy.

Today is the first day of the rest of my life. It all seems like a dream. Tomorrow I'm going to observe my first class here and then co-teach the second. The DOS has it all planned out and everything is a weekly sylibus where I get to present the grammar, reading, writing, speaking and listening the way that I feel is best. Finally a real test of my abilities.

There's more so stay tuned to the same cat channel, same cat time......

NCTBA

We left your sign up to keep undesirables and TEFL-bums out. We have enough here already.
