Dear WMTN,

"What about slitting someone's throat as a religious obligation? A line has to be drawn somewhere...Especially when it has an 'effect' on you."

I'm surprised by your comment. Equating saying "inshallah" with "slitting someone's throat" is totally irrelevant. I KNOW you have better sense than to make such a comparison.

Regards,
John

I can honestly say that this is NOT one of the things that gets me down in KSA. I have had no major problems as a result of teaching in an Islamic Environment.

Just be sensible and if you are a total flake, don't come ! Partial flakes are welcome and positively encouraged.

Dear JS,
Sorry if I made a wrong impression. I didn't want to make a comparison between 'Insha Allah' as an altruistic phrase and the barbaric act of murdering someone in full video view. I was just trying to point out the absurdity in calling both 'religious obligations', as many of those murderers would claim. Perhaps my post could have been couched better.. My deep regrets.
Regards,

Well, I am going to order Uncle Scott to lash you 7 lashes in the morning and 7 lashes in the evening, for 7 days! Laughing
7X(7+7) = 98 lashes!! I think I am too generous! Laughing

Neither will you issue the order nor will Uncle lash me because both of you are going to get a huge dose of curdled camel milk and zanzabeel!
And, anyone here ever heard of a generous cat?

Dear (acronym) WMTN,

DO NOT INSULT ISLAM! EITHER HERE NOR IN YOUR OWN COUNTRY!
It's just disrespectful

This is only some generous advice from a knarly cat.
