What I can't understand is that if the original poster was happy with ST, why didn't he/she just email them and ask what is with that email he received from Jack Stone
Maybe he or she was happy with the service but nervous about an organisation that made his or her details available to that crazy?
Maybe the OP just understands that it's not a good idea to get all your information about an organisation from the organisation itself.
And I can't for the life of me see what is happening here that is so unfair to poor old SeriousTeachers. All we're doing here is sharing our thoughts and experiences.
Best,
Justin |
..... thanks Justin, you nailed it. |

| My point was the title is over the top which can be misleading, I mean using the word illegal certainly was. ST is a very secure site with secured login and getting ones email is much easier on other sites where everything is very wide open with your email sitting right there. The slanting is being unfair as technically they have certainly taken a lot of time and effort in that part of their site and they should actually be praised for it. Again go to the site and navigate around to see for yourself. |

If you read my previous posts the reason why I was so worried is because I do love the site. I have been a member for over 4 months, have navigated the page, and use it on a regular basis. Everything I saw seemed to be kosher, but scams seem to be all too common on the Internet and in the ESL world. I was simply worried due to the email and was trying to inform myself about anything that may be wrong with the site that I was not aware of. I am sorry if I offended your opinions on Serious Teachers. |

| I totally understand. I just think you would have gotten a better answer from ST as they put all this information on their forum immediately regarding that guy, rather than going to a competition site, and putting a strong title, as they are obviously going to feed off that here and send the wrong message. |
