Who said they lift the lid? You're in need of a broader range of friends

Hmmm. Some life experiences I can probably live without.

That said, the last rental I moved into was a biological hazard as regards toilets and kitchen (the late residents died of plague, I'm sure).

Bio-hazard toilets are likely the reason rentals here don't come with toilet seats - nor does our school, nor do many restaurants...
Seems it's BYOTS in Mexico.

Of course that beats the pipe sticking out of the ground - in Nepal and India Crying or Very sad

And speaking of crime on DF buses...
Sorry, can't comment as I don't live in DF, but I do recall a very harrowing bus ride to the voodoo market Sonora. My friends were arguing about whether or not to stay on the bus (we were almost there) or get off and walk through a rather seedy part of DF. Seems the young driver was stoned out of his head and driving like a mad fool. Id failed to notice, having just come from Chiapas (land of crazy bus drivers).
Suddenly everyone was laughing and cheering. The bus had stopped to pick up a passenger a very haggard looking elderly woman.

My friends translated for me after apparently the woman didnt have enough for the fare, but was begging the driver to let her on. The driver had smiled and said cheerfully that it was indeed Day of the Dead and in honour of the day and referring to her deathly appearance, welcomed her on to the bus.

Regards,
DL

Thanks for a good laugh Laughing

Just when I wonder why I stay here after six years, your post reminds me of all the fun you can have with just a simple bus fare in Mexico City, heck who needs Six Flags when you have bus drivers on drugs and metro operators that just slam on the brakes to see how many people fly through the air!

Bring your own TP and hand sanitizer, good to remember! Esp. for newbies! Razz

Well, I personally dont want a man in the ladies room, but thats just me. And, there was the incident last year of the man who dressed like a woman to be able to ride in the womens Metro cars and grope women.

And just for the record, the man was not transgendered, he still very obviously had all his stuff, and made no attempt to look like a woman, other than a halter top that showed off his broad shoulders and tight jeans, no makeup or anything other trappings. He was very obviously a man.

It was in the papers here and there was a picture of him and I have to say (the Metro groper) looked pretty good as a woman, and if it was rush hour and he was in a crowd of women I could see how he could get past the cop to get to the womens section. It went on for quite a while, apparently, as was fairly serious, he ended up going to prison.

And, I didnt exactly see his stuff, but his pants were so tight it was obviously that it was all there.
