The obvious contempt for those they engage, exhibited by certain posters, regardless of their English skills, degrades the board. FTs in China, if they are aware of their surroundings, are objects of continuous racist hatred, overt and more subtle.

It's definitely an us versus them situation. When an FT comes to Dave's in search of support, he/she shouldn't have to deal with the same kind of attitudes that brought him/her here in the first place.

Cyberkada, for instance, is/was obviously in the midst of an outright robbery attempt; however, he is still being subjected to the same kind of contempt that motivates others to victimize him in the workplace.

The behavoir is typical of the rude, ignorant, and intrusive acts to which FTs are constantly subjected. It's unfortunate that it goes on even here.

This thread is too hot and too off-topic.

If this continues, there will be sanctions and the thread will cease to be available.

What is it about MOD EDIT that makes them think they are the world's moral authority?

Still, a phrase often used by the MOD EDIT themselves, "Snitches get stitches."

MOD EDIT, and trying to be as supportive as possible based on the fact that I'm an American teacher, perhaps the only thing the OP and others facing the same problem can do is to keep doing well in their classes and to watch what they say in the break room. Im also willing to give the OP the benefit of the doubt, that perhaps the stereotypical nature of his post was purely accidental. Maybe all we can ever really do when we run into colleagues and coworkers whom we dont like or get along with is to do our best to avoid and ignore them. In the end, the cream always rises to the top, and the bad apples always get tossed in the bin. Was that the correct use of whom?
