If TEFL'ers and CELTA'ites think that teaching in a language academy, a private school, a high school, an international school, a college or a uni is the ONLY option for teaching English, they will of course find their options limited (and most likely economically unsatisfactory for a 40-year career).
English training is needed by employees in many professions around the world. Their employers are frequently smart enough to realise this and to engage professional trainers to present on-site courses (on either a permanent or part-time basis). They will pay rates close to those that a professional trainer would make in the U.S. or Europe.
Stop complaining. Do some research, get rid of your sandals, and get one of those high-paying training jobs if you think you want to have a retirement account worthy of Charles Schwab. |
