Hahahaha. Very Happy What has this thread turned into? Apparently pure Grade A crap as demonstrated by our friend, Tony.

Anyway, I've been reading your posts on this board and the majority of them seem to be an unprovoked and unecessary attack on all of the regular posters. What is your deal? Certainly there is a better way to argue your point without sending personal threats and attempting to publically humiliate and degrade those with whom you do not agree. There is such a thing as common courtesy... you should use it. And while you are at it, get your head out of the 1940s because you'll find that male supremacy is really is NOT the way of the world.... even in Latin America. Things are changing.

Therefore, if you come to live here in latin America, then you should adopt the ways of your host. If you are a man, then accept the spoils received by the typical Latin man. Get your back rubs, have your girlfriend cook your food, wash your clothes... why not. That's what they want to give. If you are a woman, then do all those things for your man. Support your man. If he has had a hard day, rub his feet. Cook that special meal that he likes. It's really the way it was meant to be.

Actually, tradition in Peru is that the man washes the clothes.

And in a good relationship, both the man and woman share the responsibilities.

Tony, are you available? I think you would make a great wife for some cro magnon men...

This is getting boring. And the insults are a bit too much to take. And "male supremacy" has been the root of a lot of things, not least the high levels or domestic violence that plague most countries in Latin America. I dont know if its traditional, but I do the cooking. And wash my own clothes. And can stretch to a pretty good back rub. So what? If you want a relationship straight out of the 1800s, good luck. Don't be surprised if you find yourself alone on Saturday night.

Peace,
Justin

I think that the important part is not who does what. It is what both parties find as acceptable. If the women feels it is her job to wash the clothes than, that is OK, since everyone is allowed his or her own perspective. If she expects the man to help out then he should do so. I do not really think that we need to impose societal standards on how people should handle their relationships with the opposite sex.

Quite sensible, JZer. I agree.

But you left out that the man should also be entitled to his opinions. I don't "help out" with the housework because my girlfriend "expects" me to. I feel I should. I want to. And I LIKE cooking. In any case, it's my house, too.

Oh come on Justin...dump the english bird and get yourself and nice little equatoriana who'll do your washing and clean up after you. After all, it's a man's world and you simply must take advantage of it. It's not a choice but an obligation to lord it over all the little women out there who don't share a braincell between them. If you take away their daily chores what on earth will they be left with???? Nothing with which to worry their pretty little heads over.

Of course if i said any of this seriously to my Chilena girlfriend, any of her friends, any of the argentinas or any of the equatorianas i know, i would never be able to reproduce to continue this male dominance of Latin America. Lorena Bobbit is nothing compared to an insulted Latina or one who thinks you're taking advantage.... Shocked

Good luck Tony

If you were such a great guy you wouldn't have started out on this forum insulting other people, so don't try to convince us now that butter wouldn't melt in your nasty little mouth--or that you are a feminist or a doormat or for that matter, anything else. If you did all your obnoxious capers as a joke, you should be sent to the firing squad for not being funny at all.

In the words of Captain America, "You blew it, man".

The funny thing is that Moonraven gets mad at some anonymous posting on this discussion board. That itself is funny.

Hey Thelma,
It won't be that long till I get there, if I live through the rest of this decade. Smile

Matt, Sounds like chileas, ecuadorianas, and inglesas all have something in common. I would probably never have sex again (or perhaps be able to) if I said any of that crap with a straight face. Very Happy Surprised

Tony, sounds like you may have some hope. Drug therapy, combined with more traditional counselling, has shown promising results in treating multiple personality disorders. I would look into it.

Time for a new thread, I think.
