| i like how some people keep posting that a relationship with a J-girl will not be very deep unless you learn to speak Japanese. Also that the girls will only like you for what you are and who you are. It might be good to give all perspectives but I think that these people are missing the point that some of the posters may not being looking for a serious relationship. |

Once again, my faith in humanity has proven ill-founded...
When I first arrived in Japan, I registered with an online personals service, looking for friends, dates, etc. Then, remembering past failures with online services, I abandoned the site, not even finishing my profile. I think I got about as far as saying that I was American.
Today, I get a message that reads as follows (with self-imposed censorship--the real message wasn't):
good looking big c*ck
Yawn. Not only is this guy crude, but he's also apparently illiterate: I said that I was American, whereas he, surprise surprise, is looking for a Japanese girl.
I seriously hope this jackass is not an English teacher. If he is, then I am ashamed of my profession because of the scum that it will allow in. Grow up, boys.
Oh, and lest you think to write back and tell me that I am a prude: save it. You know nothing about me or my lifestyle. I just don't happen to like getting idiotic messages from boastful foreign guys looking to score with Japanese chicks.
