DUDE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I just got your email.

I can't believe you're alive!!!! Sorry, man, I thought you were dead. I couldn't imagine any other reason you would abandon us, the poor saps. So how were the alien anal probes? Can you sit long enough to post?

Needless to say this thread is also resurrected and is going to have a very long life.

Finally! Geez, man, took you long enough. Whatever the story is behind your disappearance, it had better be darn good. I'm hoping it involves aliens as per Deconstructor's comments.

Good to have you back. Now, if you'll excuse me, I'd better go dismantle those Fig Newton traps I set out a while back.

.................................................................

(Typical! The bait is gone and the traps never even sprung! Damn Acme Co.)

Such a relief (and a pleasure) to have you back with us! My return to Mexico has been put off till August. Have you had your fill of Fig Newtons, or should I bring some with me? It will be easy to get them to you as I believe that you live in the same neighborhood as the friend I'll be staying with for awhile.

It's nice to see that Guy is back. I'm wondering why he would post such a short, cryptic post. How hard would it have been to take a minute to explain where he has been?

I'm the Prof in his post. I went three months trying to contact him to finish my TEFL course with his school. He was my advisor for the course. The last contact I had with him was in March. I sent him many emails, but never got a reply. After many phone calls to DF, and several conversations with Gabriela Ruiz Mata, the director of the school, (and I believe Guy's wife), I have been told by a David Cullar at the school that he will be my new advisor, and if I send them the rest of my work, I can still get my certificate. Unfortunately, this will have to be done after I am in Mexico, as I leave in two days for Oaxaca. Hopefully all will work out okay.

In the meantime Guy, it's been three days since your post. How about an explanation?

Prof, as you no doubt have noticed some of the posters here are above needing to offer explanations.

Good luck to you with your move, and with your certificate. Like the winners of several presidential elections, Guy is proof that popularity is independent of dependability (or decency).
