Thanks for that info. I can't speak as someone 'on the ground' but it's always a bonus to have examiner status from Cambridge or other boards. IELTS training is comprehensive and examiners are in high demand all over the world. I'd enquire at the IELTS centre that CfBT run to see when their training sessoins are.

You can also contact Cambridge directly to register your interest and they will invite you when they run a training session.

I was an examiner for the YL exams and it is good money, experience and great professional development.

awesome - will get on it; it may even have some impact on the upcoming 'winter break' - we have almost 6 weeks this year, so could be a 2-for-1 if I can get it done right!

Ok, on a tangential note - I have seen that there is BELTA here. Anyone local a member? Care to comment (here or in a PM) on how active it is? I'd be interested in joining, and we may have a handful of English teachers @ Yayasan (primary & secondary) who may be as well. |
