No
Samantha
Those are not kisses, so don`t get any ideas. It`s just that you leave me flabbergasted and I don`t know what else to put.
Again, I reiterate, it`s not important to me to verify your statements at my expense. I would expect that you at least do the forthright thing and list the names of the schools whose schedules you claim to have knowledge of.
It gives me considerable enjoyment to aggravate someone who makes such spurious, easily contestable comments and then has the nerve to go on the attack without backing up those statements. So keep it up and so will I. I am getting a kick out of this. And I bet you at the bottom of your sweet little heart are too. |

| Actually, several of us think you are behaving rather strangely. Your style is very much like another poster's. FYI, I won't be responding to you again on ANY subject. |

| Dragonlady, that's correct. The reason is that the initial "r" in Spanish is strongly trilled, as in "retrato". To achieve the same sound in the middle of a word, as in "autorretrato", you need the double "r". |

| I was not one to call Samantha a confabulator, but you did call it right on the last one. After she posts that she will not be adding another message in response to you and me, she tells us to go leave the planet. I for one would be more than happy to indulge her wishes but she has to pay the flight expenses. |

I really enjoyed reading this while looking for information about schedules at prepas.
Anyways, are any/all prepas in session on Saturdays? Or do the kids get two-day weekends like they do in Canada? |

What, no one has answered yet? Well, the prepas of which I have direct knowledge have Monday-to-Friday classes and Saturday & Sunday off, just like what we're used to. So at least some (and I'd venture a guess that it's the majority) are not in session on Saturdays. |

I know thisis an old thread that yall just made a new post o two, but I have to comment on the bginning of this thread.
My girls go to public school in Ecatepec de Morelos and they are very strict there and it is not at all wild like what has been said and this goes for the schools that my nieces and nefews attend as well. Though I feel they doneed better teachers at times. Sorry if I got off topic but I felt like some defense was needed. |

| I know a few SEP teachers and the consensus seems to be that even the cheapest private school is better than sending your kids to a SEP school. Public schools here are usually far worse than even the worst schools in a place like the States. That doesn't mean there aren't exceptions. I know parents that work extra hours/jobs or go without for themselves just to be able to send their kids to a private school. Anything BUT a public school. I don't get a very good impression of the quality of public schools here in Mexico. |

| It really depends where you are. I changed my kids from private to public when they moved up from primaria to secundaria and no regrets. |

In my area at secundaria and prepa the public ones are better. There are two large public secundarias, one general and one technical, generally you send you kid to a private one when they have been kicked/failed out of both of the public ones. Most work on a you pay you pass program.
Locally it's not that the primaries are bad, it's just that the teacher's union has got a little out of control. |
