You're just hoping that England go out in the Semi on penalties to maximise the heart break and so we have to play that humiliating third place game. Aren't you? |

The ref will certainly have a safe trip home ... carried to his new luxury house, just around the corner from the stadium, on the shoulders of cheering German fans ...
Come on Italy ... |

What was wrong with the referee? I think he was doing well, except that I do admit there was one occasion where he should have given a yellow card to Podolski instead of a pep-talk.
According to statistics, Germany has never ever won from Italy....don't know what to hope for. Part of me wants Germany to be in the final but that would mean a trip to Berlin...but I really should start getting ready for my move to Turkey. |

| I hope Portugal don't win tonight - I can't help but feel that an Italy-Portugal final will be a deeply unedifying spectacle of men falling over at the drop of a hat. |

Ronaldo - what a cheating git!
seeing him cry sparked a deep warm glow in the bit of my brain reserved for moments of schadenfreude. |

You know how North Korea have been testing missiles. Maybe they are going to do us all a favour and target Berlin before kick off.
Has this not been the crappest World Cup in living memory? |
