wow,
I'd take a job like that in a NY heart beat, more money more time off and still in a foreign country.
But I wonder how long I would last at the job...Probably your friend likes his job, though.
Mining is a very tough job, that's why they give you 2 weeks off after 4 weeks on. I had a friend from Brazil who fought oil well fires. He made boatloads of cash then went to live the good life in USA. When he ran out of cash he was delivering pizzas and thinking about going back to Brazil for another stint in fire fighting.
I suppose teaching English for 40 years with regular breaks seems lack luster compared to stuff like that but it is a real job.
Even cooking shrimp is a real job, heck there's, jumbo shrimp, fried shrimp, sautee'd shrimp..... |
