All in all, I think Vietnam is great fun, at least for a while. Long-term, it's a diff story.
I find the problems with red-tape, cultural diffs and language barriers make it less of a long-term option for me, but if the govt. does open up and allow DIRECT foreign ownership of property, such as a condo or a house, then sure, I would be MUCH more willing to look at VN as a very viable long-term option. If I buy property, I want it in MY name. Love and relationships come and go, but I want the property I work and paid for with MY money to be in MY name. Simple. |
