Yes, I think you're right. Likely posting drunk. Also, I think he is using more than one handle on the forums at the moment.

I reshemble that remark...

And there it is.

I quite understand your reluctance to share, but it must be borne in mind that the Western concept of privacy or personal space does not really exist in Saudi Arabia. There is also a shortage of one bedroom apartments in major cities such as Riyadh or Jeddah. I'm lucky in that I get on very well with my flatmate in Riyadh, but I have heard horror stories about teachers who ended up hating each other due to the fact that they had to share accommodation.

Hogwash. Have you ever seen a Saudi house? 3 metre high walls often with an extra 3 metres of metal on top. One entrance for male visitors, one for females (if they are allowed any).

Hogwash? How many single Saudis do you know who live alone? The majority of single males live with other family members (brothers, parents) behind those high villa walls until they get married.

A fair few. But the reasons for them living with mummy and daddy til they're 40 has nothing to do with having no concept of privacy but wholly because they are bone idle, cannot stand on their own two feet and are money grubbers.
