Yes. I spotted it immediately.

I wouldn´t have survived in KSA if I hadn´t known the correct transcription of DHAHRAN. And MAKKAH

They should be handing that info out at arrivals in the airport. Essential for anyone fortunate enough to be spending time in the magic kingdom

I wouldn't have survived in KSA if I hadn't known that none of it matters.

That's right. So difficult in fact that the vast majority of native Arabic speakers no longer use this letter/sound in normal speech and instead use variants of "Z" or "D" or "TH". Same thing has happened to the sound of "Q" and a couple of others.

It isn't all that difficult. The transition from 'th' to 'z' is linguistic laziness same as what we English speakers do with various sounds in our own tongue.

The 'qaf' is even easier. And I've never known an Arabic speaker who had difficulty with it.

Even I can do both of them with very little effort and my Arabic is just basic survival. (there are sounds that I never really mastered... but these two and 'kh' were relatively easy with a little practice)

So what's the total net per month? How does it break down?
Why don't you contact them directly and find out?
Just curious how the numbers stack up and for the benefit of anyone who might be interested since so far no one has really confirmed anything about the money aspect of the job.
People who are curious about this or any other job should apply and find out. Easier to do the legwork yourself then depend on threads and forums.

Totally agree.

Nevertheless... Razz

- this is from a reliable source:

BlueForce is continually hiring.
It’s a tough gig - but teachers remain content, overall.
There are 70 teachers - the contract requires 86 + 11 staff.

Teachers can save their base pay per year.
COLA and differential pay make up cost of living amounts and
portions come out for FICA.
55k usd - 60k/yr in savings is possible.

10 weeks vacation.
Shared (large) accommodation.
No dependents.

Now into the 2nd year and confident to acquire the follow-on to continue beyond 2019.

Big thanks for that info. While saving $60k per year sounds pretty good, the main thing will be lasting that long. Is the 10 weeks vacation continuous in the summer? 5 weeks every 6 months? The leave will be key to making it all work.

Six Weeks off for the Summer.
Two weeks off for the Eid Holiday.
One week in January and March.

Everyone did the work for you. I don't understand why you couldn't make a modicum of effort to contact them and find this out for yourself.

For a very good reason, actually. Most job applicants don't want to DIRECTLY contact a possible employer with all kinds of "questions" - and for good reason. Many employers will consider such an inquisitive applicant to be "confrontational" and a problem employee - many will not hire such a possible problem. So it's quite understandable why applicants are shy of appearing aggressive and demanding.

Let's not forget - most employers are "brutal" in one way or another. The fact remains that when you get right down to it, "intimidation" is the law of the land in the employment field - at all levels, in all spheres.

Despite lofty and grandiose rhetoric to the contrary, the vast majority of employers are REALLY looking for someone who will show up on time every day, makes no waves even when they should be made, keeps his trap shut and casts his eyes to the ground when the boss walks by. The last thing a boss wants is someone full of bright ideas and suggestions for changes...someone that will think outside the box. Forget it....that's not the way the real world works. You stay in that box or out you go carrying a box full of your belongings.

At the same time, the 3d poster way back on page 1 of this thread, told it pretty much like it is. It's no fun - it's going to be brutal. I guess people keep asking hoping that someone will finally give the answers the applicanat is really looking for.....but which he'll never get.

So the 10 (9 per FFD) weeks included holidays, which isn't so good. It could be worse though. Overall, I think I'd give this one a pass. But if you can hack it for a couple of years, you will have a decent stack of cash.

My 5th job in KSA and easily the best. The senior staff is very focused
on retention. That says plenty. If any candidate wants info feel free to PM
me.

For the teachers that actually worked at Blue Force and made it through.

How long were you there?

And if you stayed the entire contract, what classroom strategies/coping did you use?

Anybody go back a 2nd year?

I think you are talking about BAE. They are a British company on the base. Is this info you mentioned on this thread from someone actually there or from an online forum such as this?

From a former colleague, but admittedly it was through a middle person.

I'll email him directly and contact someone there in admin.soon... and report back.
