King Saud University will interview before you start working once you've arrived with your visa.

This is whether you work for EdEx, ICEAT, or Al Hussan.

A NET's education and English teaching potential is vastly superior than the educational or work potential of any Saudi. They bring you over after spending thousands of dollars on an employment visa and then send you back after interviews and probably some kind of testing that they don't understand. When is the West going to wise up and take back it's machinery and equipment: In other words just take the oil wells that the Saudis could have never used and if they behave maybe give them some oil. There is no excuse for this kind of haughtiness from the Saudis. If they don't like this kind of attitude from infidels, they better stop victimizing the people that come over for work.

Hi,

Has anyone recently received a pre-contract from Hussan? If so, when did you receive it and how long did it take for the visa process to complete after signing the pre-contract?

Last question to those who already got visa from Hussan... do Hussan book your flights or do we have to book our own flights?

I got my work visa today. In the UK it takes 7 days (use Britannia) - Al Hussan reimburse you. We have to book our own flights, but they state they pay you back in 2-3 weeks of arriving.

I'm still sure there are cheaper options than Britannia.

Don't get me wrong, they're efficient and whatnot, but 500 smackers...well...

Seven days is how long it took for your particular visa application to be processed from the date you submitted it. However, abdullah373 is asking about the length of time from the point of accepting an offer and signing the initial contract to getting his employment/work visa in hand. That's a much longer time frame because of the process the employer has to go through at their end to get things started. (See my previous post in this thread.)

Yes, my bad - my offer was made in April if that's of any help.

Ouch. That could deter Americans from taking a position with this company. A one-way flight from the US west coast to Riyadh will likely cost about $1000. Add to that the costs for the med/lab tests and visa...
