Secondary School:
I think this is pretty important for people "returning home". The employer is less likely to see you as a vagabond and more like someone who did something interesting and exciting, but still "one of us".
So if I ever return "back home" I'll definitely include my High school name and it's more likely to get me a job than a higher degree.
We tend to forget any troubles we had during secondary school over the years so the person doing the hiring will more than likely get in a much more pleasant state of mind, even if his school was just in the same geographic area/social setting. He might remember the "big game" he played against your school or whatever.
It's only about five words so I don't think it will clutter up the resume too much.
I personally don't include it when seeking work abroad but when I return home it's an absolute requirement do to the somewhat..exclusionist.. nature of my home job market.
There I go again, posting without permission |
