Scot47, Is there anything worn under your short kilt?
Scot47: No, it's all in perfect working order."

Nice short kilt with nice under clothes Laughing

The short thobe in Saudi is the hallmark of the Wahabi Zealot. Beards too indicate that one is pious and one of the Righteous, alhamdulilah !

Can 007 be in any other camp ?

Scot47 and Sheikh have you been drinking that purple Scottish Whiskey!!

There is a saying: Whisky to a Scotsman is as innocent as milk to the rest of the human race

The short kilt in Scotland is the hallmark of Englishman's concern for his pocket, or his finer feelings!!.

Beards too indicate that one is irreverent, communist, and drunken and one of the lefties, God bless Scot47! Alleluia!

Hi latest news is that Gul has withdrawn his name from the president race ,for unstated reasons .Reading between the lines I reckon he will wait till after the election and see who else will throw their hat into the ring ,a collective sigh all round and holding of breath .
So the question remains if this bloke is unacceptable do we have another contender ?

They also want to change the whole system where the public choose the president not the politicians.

DMB's prediction- AKP will return on the 24th of July with a bigger majority and then re-nominate Gul for the presidency. the army will intervene in the name of democracy then all hell breaks loose.

Do you reckon if I put a 100 ytl on this with the bookie it would make me rich?

they talk about an elected president ever time a new election occures.

my prediction: the two left parties will reduce the majority but erdoğan will still get in. afterwards they will get a silent memo from the army and be forced to chose a more palateable candidate.

Your prediction is probably closer than mine. Typical. Whenever the Grand National came around I aways put my money on the outside bet Grey horse... never won a penny.

Gul would make an excellant president in my opinion. However with 2 of the highest officers in the land both members of the AKP party there would never be a fair balance when it comes to passing new laws and such.

I always thought that they he would be a fine president. Speaks English, educated, well travelled. Has values.

Really they messed this one up. If they hadnt had that early election without letting everyone in on it they might have gotten him elected the first time. Perhaps.

Its hard to guess here in this country. But then I voted for Gore and look what happened there.

What values would they be then? Was he one of the supporters of the zena law?

I 2nd my friend Dmb, AKP will win in the next election, and the president will be voted by the people, and not nominated as before.
I do not think the Army can do anything this time, because they are under pressure from the EU not to put their nose in the politics, stay in their barracks, and let 'democracy' flourish if they want Turkey to be a member of the EU.

BTW, Dmb, congratulation for Alex Almond, your Scottish national leader. When do you think Scotland will get its independence from her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. Laughing
