Dear Bebsi,
"Someone said I should write a Haiku but I could find nothing to say."
Nice Haiku, too.
That really says it all.
Regards,
John |

Thanks, John.
One problem with my name: what happens if I tell someone I'm busy?

...and while we are all being very poetic here, is it true that among us in this very thread, there is a Poet Laureate?
I must dash, as my publisher wants to see something for that two-million advance. And I've a sixty million real-estate deal to sort out this week.
Busy, busy, busy ... |

Now I know who the poet Laureate is... Thanks for the ever so subtle hints |

Oy! Why are you suddenly waxing poetic? Off topic a tad?
Has Prince Mohammed University suddenly seen the light and the crisis is over?
Should I sign that contract? |

If to old Araby one would set sail,
There's a golden rule that must e'er prevail
When putting one's name to a writ of employment
Given to one at the point of deployment:
He who sees crisis in semesters past,
Should assume that the myriad problems will last.
Those who rule high in houses of learning,
Most loathe are they to part with their earning!
Long years they go on, in their ineptitude,
Positions enhanced, writs always renewed.
In the unlikely event that such rascals depart,
Then maybe affairs might just see a fresh start;
But he who goes Gulfward aware of the past,
Must fore'er assume that the villainy last.
He must know 'improvements' are merely deceit,
Or forever be doomed, and history repeat. |

| One thing does seem certain. There will be a certain reluctance amongst those who read this forum to sign up with PMU.......................unless things change. Anyone for the Emirates or Qatar ? |

There are many extremely decent employers in the region - in KSA, Qatar and other Gulf states, but from the sound of it, PMU is not one of them. I've never had any dealing with the place, granted, but I would avoid them like the plague if looking for a Gulf job just from all I've heard.
The general point is, places that are so bad very rarely change, unless there is a complete change of personnel at senior management. If a large number of people have complained about a particular establishment, and there is a credible, common thread running through those complaints, then that place is best avoided. No-one person is going to change things, and certainly not a teacher.
Even going in at a senior management level, bring your horse, your lance and faithful assistant on a donkey! |

The question is- Is the "nuke" part of my moniker a verb or an adjective? I may just be one serious pistol pack'in mama. |
