Hi all!,
I'm currently teaching in Spain but returning to do an MA in TESOL and Applied Linguistics in the UK in September.
For financial reasons I'm thinking of doing a summer school with OISE and was wondering if anyone has had any experience with them before?
At the 1st interview they seemed ok but I did a summer school with Thames Valley Summer Schools a couple of years ago and it was absolutely brutal! so I'm a bit put off doing another.
Failing the summer school work, I may try to pick up private students and I also have opportunities to work in a different area during the MA to support myself financially. Anyway, I'd appreciate any feedback on the above organisation and also EF but judging by what I've heard from colleagues etc EF are best avoided.
Thanks! |

Hi
I know nothing about OISE but I did a summer school with PLUS a couple of years ago and it was ok. Teaching 5 mornings and a couple of afternoons and a couple of excursions each week. No evenings unless you wanted them and no supervision outside of class time.
Accommodation was ok although the food could have been better! |
