Just received a phone call asking me to come up for an interview... Since I already have a job lined up in Istanbul AND my cursed school here is trying to ply me with surreal amounts of money to stay, should I even bother making the effort to get up there and interview? Is is worth it? |

NO,NO, NO, NO AND NO!!!! I would get into the details here as to why I emphatically implore you not to go, but would rather do that in a private place. I will send a message to your private box, shortly. |

Yaramaz - if you go to interview at TED BURSA, you might be disappointed/intimidated or both. Your South African friend (yes ...the Michael Jackson fan...) went for an interview there and was "interviewed" by a big panel of people (the infamous 'committee').
It was a difficult process, and they (TED BURSA) are very picky in who they choose. PLUS....people who work at TED BURSA complain that the location is quite a ways out of town, and there is only one school bus run in the morning and afternoon..meaning you are stranded at school all day.
You will have difficulty in finding as 'cushy' a number you presently have in Kayseri.
Go to the interview as an 'observer' (one always learns about stuff), but accepting a job there would probably not be in your interest, knowing your predilictions and lifestyle. Istanbul and Kayseri are better options for you....now you will have to decide whether to move to Istanbul, or choose the safe route and stay at TED Kayseri, with all your familiar landmarks. |
