|

Hello everyone,
I'm about to e-mail someone at Nankai Uni, but the address is several years old, so I thought I'd check here if any of you are in or know of people in the Tianjin area.
Ideally, I'd like to find work there, since I know of some people at Nankai Uni whom I want to coordinate with on some research (unrelated to my teaching position). In the worst case, if I aim for Beijing, how often do trains run into the Nankai district in Tianjin, and what are the costs?
Thanks very, very much!

Hello,
I am sorry to tell you that all the positions in Nankai and Tianjin Univ. have been filled for the next semester. Most of Nankai's teachers signed back on and Tianjin Uni did the selection right before the May holiday.
However they might have some positions open up closer to the start like in July. Some people always seem to back out.
To be honest, Tianjin is ok, but it is not a wonderland anyway. There are lots of other universities out there that are just as good. |

Well, if you know people in Nankai that you might want to work with, it might be worthwhile to contact those people and see if you can get them interested in working with you, (assuming you haven't already). If you can get those people interested in working with you, it might make it easier to find a job there, should one open up. |
