Hi Folks,
Does anyone have any advice or info. they can relay about this city, or even better, about ChangHuaHong High School? I am considering a position with them, but I haven't been able to find any info. about either.
As usual, your help is greatly appreciated. |

There've been a number of queries about this city lately, and it strengthens my theory that the next wave of growth will take place in the smaller to mid-sized cities.
Huzhou is a city like that, about 2 hours from Shanghai, but not on the rail network. Population may hover around a couple million which is small for China, and the city is near Taihu Lake which has good sightseeing and ancient buildings. I haven't heard of this high school, but check the Job Info Journal for more info.

I was there last month to visit a school that offer full-time Chinese classes. Must say I liked it enough to go back and spend a term there. My first job was in Zhejiang so I am a fan of the place anyway...
It is a small city and sort of "old school." Sort of a pretty place with canals running through it. Don't expect any Carrefour or Outback Steakhouses and there are--I think--very few foreigners..Struelle is right it's not on the rail system..There is a train station but I think it only goes to Hangzhou. I was told the bus is the way to get there and away. H-zhou is an hour and Suzhou 90 minutes.. |
