Hi,
Sorry to re-ask old questions but I can't find an up-do-date version of exactly what I'm after.

I'm British (so EU citizenship), I have a degree, a CELTA, good ESL teaching references and two years of full-time classroom experience. I'd love to work in Greece next term, having visited several times BUT:

Apart from AngloHellenic, I can't find any information on where to find vacancies in Greek schools, and I'm actually having trouble finding any to apply to directly. I'm aware that things are very tough economically but are no schools hiring at all, anywhere in Greece?! Am I missing a key website or source of information?

Cheers for any tips you can offer

There is no work in Greece. The economy curled up and died. 40 years of exploiting tourists, speculating in property and not paying taxes finally ensured that Greece has gone bust.

It's another of those regions where it's very rare for employers to hire from abroad - you might find something hoofing it around the streets of Athens in person. But there likely simply aren't enough openings for anyone to need to advertise internationally.

I'm not surprised by the lack of response to this thread and this forum. PM me--I'll give you a link to connect up with some really dedicated TEFLers in Greece that seem to love discussing all things ELT-related.
