Hi TEFLers,
I'm thinking of getting TEFL certified in February and hitting the pavement to look for work in Prague during March. Any ideas on whether I could cobble together full-time work during this time by working at a variety of schools? Or should I just wait until July/August to look?
Thanks a lot. Hope you're enjoying the day, wherever you are in the world!

I would probably wait until August. If you're American, cobbling together a schedule is reasonably difficult with all the visa BS. In August you would have a better chance of finding a solid position. If you're British, then by all means go whenever you like you lucky *beep* |

Bad idea.
Even for Brits, who don't need work visas, it's tough in March/April. Getting towards the end of contract time!! |

Thanks! Ok, I see now that August is the time.
Do most American teachers have Z-list visas and hop around from school to school? Or do they get a work visa and work at one place?
Again, responses are so appreciated. Thanks a lot. |

Hello,
How much does the Z list visa cost both with the assistance of an agency, and without?
Thanks a lot! Hope you're well this evening, wherever in the world you are. |

I wouldnt worry too much about times of year. There are an adequate number of schools around in Prague who will happily exploit you throughout all 4 seasons. |
