Hi!
I have recently been invited to interview by Coco Juku and Peppy Kids Club and was wondering if anyone has an information/ experience with the companies and if they could tell what the interviews are like?
Peppy Kids Club sounds pretty ideal to me, after failing to get on JET twice, as it's teaching children and the hours are pretty good. I'm not sure if I will go ahead with Coco Juku though as I'm unsure about teaching adults...
Any advice would be great! Thanks ^---^ |

Thanks for the links. I'd stumbled across a couple of those topics before, but most of them are a few years old so I was wondering if anyone had interviewed more recently. Same goes for Coco Juku as it is a new company. I actually applied to it for that reason as I thought it may be a good starting point.
Seems like Peppy has a reasonably easy interview from what is in those previous posts. Feel a little less nervous now.

I recently applied to Coco Juku. So far they have 2 interviews. A normal one and then a 30 minute teaching demo. I was offered the demo, but I don't think I will do it. I get the Berlitz feel from them and it's just not for me. |

After further investigation I don't think Coco Juku is for me either.
I currently work with kids and want to continue to work with kids! |

I applied with Coco's and after talking with them, I felt that it wouldn't be a good fit for me. Just a vibe for me. |

I don't expect to get much of a response, but I'll piggyback off of this thread.
To those who have interview with Coco Juku:
What is the format like? What questions can I expect (mainly those more specific tot he company)? And what exactly are they expecting for the interview teaching portion? It seems as though I am supposed to come up with two questions that I could possibly ask a student and then come up with two responses that a student (apparently the interviewer) would say.
Thanks! |
