I'm seriously considering signing up with an employment agency that places teachers in schools. The contract is draconian--if you quit, you have to pay your full salary to the agency for whatever number of months remain unfulfilled.

On the plus side, the agency will process your work visa and provide you with a job, although no full time jobs are available until the fall.

Does anyone here have any experiences, good or bad, with agencies? I can't find any threads on the topic after 2008. Thanks.

The schools need to have vacancies before they can accept teachers......this is where you might have a major flaw in your plan.
