So did I until I read this on another forum about KSA. I quote verbatim -
"Hi everyone. Just moved from the UK to Saudi 3 days ago with my wife and discovered yesterday that she's pregnant. Would be overjoyed if I knew that this was the best thing for us and for my wife especially, but for several reasons it isnt.
Wanted to know if anyone here has ANY information on obtaining a medical abortion here in Saudi - as she must be within 5 weeks of pregnancy. We're in Riyadh but willing to go wherever we have to. Would have considered flying straight back to the UK or Turkey where the process is as easy as taking 2 tablets at home, but only have single entry Visa.
Please get back to us if you have any advice or leads.
Thanks" |

Well, Scot, what advice do you give them?
From the same forum about KSA. I quote verbatim -
"Criminal offence in KSA. Leave and have it done in Europe."
"You ain't in Kansas any more." |

I was not alone on that forum in giving them that advice. They seemed to think they could go to the Brtitish Embassy who would find an abortionist for them. Airheads. |

Researching both Saudi Arabia and human physiology at length would have been useful, I think. |

Google it scot47. its the first link that comes up.
In Islam abortion is permissible if the fetus is less than 4 months old. Not sure where Saudi stands on it exactly. |

In Saudi abortion is not permitted.
You see I know that, but am not aware of some prank played on TV in the US of A. It may be a shock to some, but the world does not watch non-stop US TV. In my case I watch only "Bonanza" and my hero Sheldon Cooper. |

I'm 'murican... haven't got a clue what a "bel air prank" is... never heard of it. I googled it and still really don't know what it is or why I should care.

You asked what it was, right? "wazzat" means what's that, right? And the bel air prank is not played on tv. it is more a 'meme' |

I sure would hate to be the poor naive soul who posted that question. The tongue lashing he got may not have been equal to the punishment that would be inflicted in KSA, but I'm guessing it was brutal and prolonged nonetheless. |

Where did you get that? Source?
In Islam abortion is allowed in cases where the mother's life is at risk if the pregnancy is continued. And in such cases, there is no time limit, such as 4 months or otherwise. Other than that, abortion is strictly forbidden and is seen as murder, so I don't know from where you are getting that blanket permissibility till 4 months.
As for the Fresh Prince of Bel Air prank meme, yeah, it is funny... but only the first couple of times only! |

Trap... it seems that abortion "rules" vary widely even in Muslim countries. I was told by doctors that I taught in Cairo (at least up until the late 1980s) that it was the number one form of birth control in Egypt and that most women had had a few. But then these same women likely also had 5-10 kids.
