Hey guys,
I know it's the wrong time of year but thinking of flying in to Turkey and looking for some work on the ground, even if it's just part time hours at a couple different places until possibly securing something more permanent for the next school year.
From UK and have been working in Greece last few years. Any suggestions on best cities for such an endeavor much appreciated.
Cheers |

hi.
I'm working in turkey now, and I think you can definitely find short term work. it wont be the best contracts but there are always positions. After summer of course will be better if you are looking for long term positions.
Try Istanbul or Izmir. There are tons of private language schools that are always hiring. you can find some on the forums here, but also try craigslist turkey and sites like teacher hit
good luck! |

o also, you can try getting private clients and just earning money that way- that might be the easiest over summer. if you have been living in Greece, Izmir might be similar if you want a more relaxed place. Also they are willing to pay good money for private lessons there. (I have friends who work there and this is what they've told me). |

wages in Izmir are atrocious and your chances of getting well paid private lessons are nil. Private lessons in the summer are as rare as rocking house shite. |

FORGET private lessons in the summer, unless you have been here years and have buılt up your contacts. Even then, at least two-thırds of your lessons wıll be cancelled wıthout warnıng |
