Do most people enjoy working there? Does the salary and holidays compare to KFUPM? How are the students and admin? |

I think most people enjoy working here but of course some people hate it and are just doing it for the money. We haven't had much turnover. I'm not sure how to compare the salary to KFUPM because I don't know what they pay. We had 15/16 days holiday in Oct and 9 (5 + 4 in weekends) in both Jan and March. We teach less than 4 hours a day. A lot of the students just come to class to get paid and aren't interested in learning English. Many of them don't look at the book outside of class. The admin tells us things at the very last minute and is always making changes. Sometimes we start classes and the books show up later. |

Just out of curiosity, do many of the students throw their books and notebooks after they finish their exams?
Also, do the students write on the tables and walls of the classroom?? |

scot, is this phenomenon common with boys than girls students in the Magic Kingdom?
And why's that? Are the students de-motivated? |

Male students at every level regard the classroom as a prison and lessons as the deprivation of liberty without due cause. Girls may have diifferent attitudes. For them it is the only escape from home. |

Hi there
I am new here, and like to hear from you about University of Dammam. I got a job offer in Engineering and have a few questions:
-How is the administration of the UoD?
-Do they provide multi-exit permit?
-I know there is no accomodation for staff but somebody told me they are going to have one soon. Is this right?
-Is Dammam a good place for kids?
Thanks,
Haron |
