your lawyer buddy is right...

You can either forget about your money and write it off as an expensive experience or you could take a stand and try to get your money back using the PSB, assuming you have a contract!

You did use "former" when refering to the boss so I assume you have found greener pastures...enjoy them and forget about it. Next time, go away after the first unpaid month

(Long ago...... I found myself in a similar situation. I dealt with the cops and after a few gifts here and there... it all went well with the school and else)

Well all I can say is "SUCKS TO BE U". Most schools dont screw you over unless you asked for it.

It is good you left. I know people who got nasty on a school for not paying their salaries, complaining to the PSB and such. In the end the poor foreign teacher was black listed from the city! The leader of the school had connections and the foreigner teacher did not.
