| I refrained from joining the USS last summer when I was employed as an EAP Tutor in the UK. I will have the opportunity to join this summer. What are others doing if they only expect to have short-term stints? Is it worth joining if I only plan on returning to this institution summer after summer? |

If you have no other pension plan - go for it. Are you paying National Insurance ? Worth considering paying for periods where you have gaps. Get proper advice.
35 years of contributions are needed to get the Satte Retirmenet Pension, but it might be a good investment.
