I am 38 years old. I am a qualified Phys Ed Teacher with five years SEN experience and experience teaching Maths and ICT. I have taught in Australia, New Zealand and the UK ( my home).
I have been applying for jobs in International Schools but am not having much luck.
I appreciate I would need some training to teach TEFL.
Where would be the best place to train and get some experience ?
Where would be the best place to look for work ?
In the UK I clear 2300 pounds sterling a month and have the 3 months off a year holidays. Can I find TEFL work anywhere near as good as this ?
Im not really that happy in rural Wales and feel life is passing me by with nothing exciting happening, friends married off with children etc
I have to make a change, any advice / tips appreciated please. |

If you're interested in switching gears from teaching content to teaching EFL, then be aware you'd be starting at the bottom.
Why not stay with teaching PE? In fact, have you looked at teachaway.com lately? |

ESL is great.. But I wouldn't do it for more than a couple of years! Don't do it for the money... Choose a beautiful place, and ENJOY!!!!! |
