| Am I likely to find any short term teaching opportunities (3 months) in China? I have ten years experience of teaching English to speakers of other languages. My wife is Chinese. Her home town is Wuhan, but she has family in Guanzhou so either of those places would be options. Ideally, we would like to stay for about 3 months, as we have commitments in the UK. |

| You could probably find something in Wuhan, but it probably won't be above board (i.e. on a visa sponsored by your workplace). The school has to pay to apply for your proper working documents, and probably can't be bothered if they are only getting you for a short period. You could come over as her husband on a tourist visa for spouses, which should cover the length of your stay. If you decided to work on that and got caught, you might get fined and/or deported. |
