Hey,
I am sorry if this has been asked, but was wondering if people knew how Mexico feels about one way plane tickets?
I am Australian.
At the moment I am basically planning to work under the table but am aware I will get issued the 180 day visa thing right?
If I can get in on a one way ticket, will they need proof of funds? And how would I actually prove that to them other than actually having the cash? |

I've never seen anyone have an issue with a one-way ticket entering Mexico.
However, I have heard of Australians having trouble getting through a US airport with a one-way ticket, despite terminating in a Mexican city. Best check with the airline you'll be flying with.

Yes, as a matter of course.

Coming in as a tourist, they won't ask about proof of funds. |

This really doesn't sit well with me. What's Australia's take on Mexicans working illegally there?

Actually yeh it needs to be qualified on the basis that I will be trying my hardest to get a job secured before I come over but from what I have heard this is fairly difficult.
I was having a think and realised it might be possible to buy a fully refundable ticket back to AUS and then it get it refunded once I am in Mexico - Anyone heard of a strategy like this? |

Have wondered that myself. Advice is one thing. Untrue and inflamatory comments are not really helpful to anyone. |
