There is Gaijinpot.com and Metropolis. After that?

How about privates?

If you want privates try advertising in your local papers........handing out flyers doesn't work.........in my experience anyway........good luck.

There are a couple of "Find a teacher" sites for Japan. Google and see.
I have not signed up on any, so no first hand experience.
I've always gotten mine just word of mouth. People in the neighborhood, friends of friends, friends of family, or as hand-me-downs from fellow gaijin Eigo-mercenaries. I only ever have 2 or 3 private gigs at any time though.
