As we relax from our labours, and celebrate our achievements, perhaps it is worth reading The Communist Manifesto once more.

It may be that for some benighted souls, this would be the first reading - scared as they are by the even more scared Piggies. However, to modern eyes, it is hard to see, sometimes, what is so revolutionary about what Marx and Engels proclaimed. Indeed, even the Piggies themselves have incorporated most of the Manifesto's tenets into their society: national banks, progressive taxes, national transport systems, free education, abolition of child labour.
So, to those poor lost ones, still mired in Western decadence, just think of how much worse your societies would be without the advances achieved by the Workers.
Now, raise the Red Flag and celebrate this joyous day!
