Hello all
I might be interested in doing an efl stint in China but it would probably have to just be for 6 months, and starting in January next year. Do you think this would be possible? I would prefer to teach adults, e.g. university work or business people. Thanks for any advice you can give.
Cheers. |

It's possible, I suppose, but you probably wouldn't get full airfare reimbursement (that's usually the 10 month-one year contract; half per term). In addition, after you complete the six months, you will return to your native land (I'm assuming). You'd break even at best, in the hole at worst. |

My first job in China was on a 5 month contract.
The previous FT did not return for the second semester, so I was hired.
I was given a full reimbursement round-trip airfare, but I think that was offered only because they needed someone at the last minute. |

Ok thanks, John and Roger, for the information.
All the best. |
