I was wondering if China has an age limit for work visas? I ask because some recruiters have on their sites that most schools prefer teachers who are not over 40. I'm 44. |

The schools that only want FT's under 40 are typically kindergartens.
60 or 65 would be a more typical age limit for colleges and universities. |

If any place tells you you're too old, try somewhere else; you'll get something. |

recently in Beijing I have had several colleagues tell me that they were refused continued contracts due to them being 55 or older.... |

hainan generally won't issue a work visa for teachers over 60. |
