some changes for those in hainan or considering.......
*much stricter on age limits. 60+ are not getting RP's renewed.
*not possible to go directly from tourist visa to RP. not possible to
get a work visa in hong kong or third country.
*health check RENEWALS can now be done in city/town of residence at
an approved people's hospital.
no longer required to visit immigration/quarantine in haikou for renewal.
must get the original exam in haikou.
the doc at the people's hospital simply checked off the front page (hey,
mr laowai....what's your height...weight....eyesight.....you have a neck....
you ever had tuberculosis/psychosis/etc.) only tests actually done were
blood test, x-ray, ekg.
*FEC RENEWALS now require a one-page statement from the applicant
stating no prior criminal history. |
