It will no doubt take at least 43 years to build, but it's in the pipeline!

Well, if the clientele is anything like those who ride the buses, it'll be 99% expats from so-called "third-world" countries.

And, of course, the occasional EFL teacher.

For a while in Jeddah i used the minibus network which provides trips all over the city @ SR2 a time. Not comfortable but a good way to get around. I did not encounter many WASPs or self-styled "Expats".

Mention of my preferred mode of transport in polite circles led to stunned silence, as if I had admitted a predilection for Bangaldeshi cleaners.

The secretary at work told me he'd been hearing this same story for ten years Surprised

John, it's being built for the King Abdullah Financial City, so I guess bankers, stockbrokers, etc ... maybe not. More likely the cleaners and women in special carriages.
