Can anyone kindly tell me anything about these places? I have been offered a job at a University in each city and would welcome any 'inside' information to assist me in my deliberation. Many thanks in anticipation. |

I live in Xiangfan, please pm me with your questions...about the schools.
The city, itself, is not bad. It has an ancient history...2800 year worth. It was named one of the top 10 most beautiful cities in China. ( I am sure someone for that.) Great places near here for hiking and sight seeing....Wu Dan Shan comes to mind.....lessor known places like Hong Shan, Zaoyang....and so forth. What do you want to know? |

My experiences at Xuchang U. were positive for the most part. FAO pleasant to work with. Colleagues were very nice, tho I know some left at the end of the year when I did...a couple may still be there. Xuchang City is easy bus ride downtown for groceries, etc. Train station close by & downtown & an hr from Zhengzhou which offers many options for train/bus travel. I had no issues at Xuchang U. I found both Deans --of English Education and International School--to be kind, amicable, helpful. Had I not needed to return to the States b/c of a commitment I'd made, I'd have gladly stayed several more years at Xuchang U. |
