Hello,
I have been to Fujairah and liked it.
Now I am trying to find information about a place called Dibba
in Fujairah and I am not finding much on Google.
If anyone has been there, are there pharmacies, gyms, spas, grocery stores ?
Is it a suburb or nearby town of Fujairah ?
It does seem to have a few hotels and to be a place people go to
on the weekends for the beaches and adventure sports- unless
I am highly mistaken ?

The sea is beautiful at Dibba. There is hardly anyone there (outside of the hotels) that speaks English. |

The youtube clip of Dibba scarcely does justice to being called "Heaven on Earth" !! Pictures of car parks, roundabouts, a driving school, limousine company....??
I visited Dibba many times up until 2005 as I did my PADI diving qualifications there, including a night dive in Musandam.
Dibba was a lovely, sleepy town on the coast, very traditional with a great fish market, but great for outdoor activity lovers ; biking, camping, walking in the Al Hajjar mountains and water sports are ideal there. The beaches are mostly deserted and waters for diving are superb.
Now the hotels seem to have moved in : the Radisson Blu Resort; Royal Beach Hotel in Al Faqeel; the Mirage; the Holiday Beach Motel and the very exclusive Six Senses Zighy Bay luxury villas with private pools. |

VS,
I would say almost definitely not. Students from Dibba used to travel into Fujairah to go to HCT and ICT. |

Actually, I'll take back what I just posted. There is the Diyar International Private School in Dibba Al Fujairah which opened in 2008 and apparently teaches the American curriculum + Arabic.
I think the confusion is that there are 3 Dibbas !
Dibba Al Fujairah is in Fujairah, UAE
Dibba Al Hisn is in Sharjah, UAE
Dibba Al Baya is in Oman.
I was referring to the Dibba in Oman. |
