As an English MA with many years of international teaching experience I am curious as to how much I can make annually at PNU. I have been quoted 10,500 starting basic salary but have been informed that I can easily top or double this. Please expound anyone - the money and the professional challenge is why I am going... |

It's unclear why you're asking about salary; on your other thread, you hinted that you're joining SBC soon, so it seems you've already accepted an offer for X amount of riyals. |

I am asking because I will be working at PNU via SBC and was hoping to hear from any one currently employed at PNU with MA credentials as to the salary range available and specifically because I was told that I will be able to improve on that salary perhaps double it once there. Thank you |

Who told you you could improve on that salary once you reached the Kingdom? Frankly, if you've already accepted SBC's offer of a measly 10,500 SR per month, then you're out of luck in terms of bumping up to a better salary. And if you're expecting to change sponsors while there, good luck with that. |

Not many places offering double that. In effect you can earn more than that if you are prepared top work vacations, evenings and weekends.
Of course you will get poster telling you that they earn US20,000 a month. Do not believe everything you hear or read.
And changing employers once in KSA is NOT simple. |

thanks for this response. If this is a measly offer for PNU what would be a proper salary or current offer then? Thank you. No I have not signed agreement of this salary yet. |

It depends on experience after highest qualification, ethnicity, nationality, gender, location and employer.
If you have no dependants, you can save on that salary. In the end you have to make the decision yourself.

Last year, direct hires without MA credentials started at 14500 (this is a fact), though I have heard that this has, or will, be reduced for new hires. However, rumors abound, so I don't know if this is true or simply speculation. Those with masters apparently received a bit more, but the higher salaries seemed to go to those with verifiable experience. |

My wife gets 11750 basic salary plus 25% and 10% for housing and transportation respectively. She is also a PNU babysitter with SBC. She received housing and transport because she lived of the compound with me. If you are single though you will get the basic salary and be housed in the compound. She had Saudi experience and I guess this was the reason for her higher starting base salary. However, she got no raise for the past two years.
