Hello everyone, I've been snooping around these forums for a while now after finishing my CELTA in Krakow and then teaching a few private lessons.
So, straight into it. I've had 4 interviews at language schools in Krakow and all of them have told me I'll know their decision either at the end of June or September.
I suppose they've got a lot of time on their hands during the summer so can afford to put off a decision. Is this usually the case or is it a polite rejection? |

Many schools won't have a good idea of student numbers until a few weeks before term begins (Usually the first or second week of September).
Also, returning teachers usually get first dibs on the jobs. So you getting a job may rely on the school getting more students next year.
So, it's not necessarily a rejection. However, it might be...
The only way for you to find out for sure is to wait for a reply.
Good luck. Krakow can be a difficult market to crack, with so many native speaker teachers in the city. Also, wages tend to be on the low side/ sometimes verging on the unlivable.

Thanks. I didn't think about student numbers or returning teachers... |

Be patient, and realize you're jumping the gun quite a bit. |
